"I'll Tell My Story" our project of five 3-minute digital stories is now ready for public distribution!
On Sunday, October 19th, 2014 from 12:30 to 2:30 SWFCenter and its supporters will celebrate this achievement with a screening at The New Parkway Theatre. At it, our storytellers will talk about their choices past and present, their challenges and hopes for the future and what motivated the particular story each has chosen to tell.
The stories have been designed to give us a snapshot of that will personalize the reality of who California incarcerates, their range of charges that areinvolved and who our storytellers have become now that they are home.
The event is FREE. Once the celebrating subsides, its time to distribute the stories to community-based organizations. The films will be used in community organizing efforts working on reform of prison and jails. They will help us see the necessity for reentry preparation and planning.
